Birth control pill and heartburn sandy_513 posted: three years ago i finally gave in to doctors and started using birth control to deal with my extremely painful, heavy and irregular periods i was prescribed the nuvaring it made such a difference in hindsight, i think it did give me more heartburn, just not enough to make a true connection. Heartburn with birth control pill. Loestrin 24 fe, indigestion, birth control, i'm now in the 3rd month, towards the end of the first week of that pill pack & i am noticing the heartburn is happening less than the month before, but i still get it i'm hoping that as my body adjusts to the medication this goes away.
